The role:
As the ServiceLineManager, you will assume overall responsibility for our onshoresiteinvestigation business operations.
Your primary mandate will be to craft a strategic vision that empowers the ServiceLine team to align with and accomplish Fugro's strategic objectives.
Collaboration with our European SiteInvestigation team will be a cornerstone of your role, ensuring synergy and coherence in all our endeavors, rooted firmly in our mission and values.Key responsibilities include developing and executing a comprehensive ServiceLine (drilling) Strategy, along with fostering effective collaboration and communication with key stakeholders.

Drilling Operations Planning:
Lead the planning and coordination of drilling operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and achievement of project objectives.Team Management:
Manage and inspire drilling teams, overseeing recruitment, training, and performance evaluations to foster a culture of excellence.Equipment and Technology Selection:
Select cutting-edge drilling equipment and adopt innovative technologies to optimize drilling operations.Safety and Compliance:
Champion a culture of safety, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards and regulatory compliance in all drilling activities.Cost Management:
Strategically manage the drilling department budget to control costs and maintain project profitability.Site Assessment:
Conduct thorough assessments of drilling sites, evaluating geological and geotechnical factors, and environmental conditions.Reporting and Documentation:
Maintain meticulous records and documentation of all drilling operations for accountability and regulatory compliance.Research and Development:
Stay at the forefront of drilling technology advancements and best practices to keep our company competitive and enhance operational efficiency.Customer Relations:
Build strong client relationships, understanding their unique needs, and proactively addressing any concerns to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.Who we’re looking for:
The ServiceLineManager needs to be a proven successful leader, who can implement and manage change successfully, resulting in profitable outcomes.
This person needs to be a natural motivator, with a vision, and a drive for success.
The successful applicant will have extensive knowledge in Geotechnical SiteInvestigations.
Have a good understanding of Profit & Loss delivering innovative solutions to achieve targets and outcomes.The ServiceLineManager needs to show resilience and be a confident decision maker, understanding business risks.
It is imperative that the ServiceLineManager can influence and manage people, and teams.

Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Engineering, Geology)At least 5 years of proven experience in drilling operations and managementStrong knowledge of drilling equipment and technologiesAt least 5 years of experience with leadership and team managementCommitment to safety and regulatory complianceExcellent problem-solving and crisis management abilitiesStrong communication and client relationship-building skillsContinuous learning mindset to stay updated with industry advancements.What we offer:
