Your key responsibilities:
analyzing project requirements:
review tender documentation, specifications and other documentation to understand scope and requirementsgathering data:
collect data on materials, labor rates, equipment and other relevant factors from colleagues, suppliers, subcontractors and historic information (where relevant)cost estimation:
develop and utilize specialized software and/or calculation models to estimate all of the costs accuratelyrisk assessment:
together with colleagues identify potential risks and uncertainties that could affect the project duration or cost and incorporate contingency measures into the calculation modelcollaboration:
work closely with project and tender managers, engineers and other stakeholders to refine project requirements and ensure accurate cost projectionsdocumentation:
prepare detailed cost estimates, reports and presentations for internal review and client presentationscontinuous improvement:
stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, new technologies and feedback from executed projects to enhance the cost estimation process and accuracy What do you need to excel in this function? bachelors degree in construction, management, engineering, finance or a related fieldcertification from a relevant professional organization is desirable but not mandatoryproven experience in cost estimation in complex projects, preferably for the offshore industryknowledge of industry regulations, standards and best practicesstrong analytical and mathematical skills, with an attention to detailproficiency in using calculation softwareexcellent communication and interpersonal skillsability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environmentability to adapt to changing project requirements and deadlinesexcellent English skills, both written and spoken.
Dutch or French is also desirable, but not mandatory.
