Responsibilities Together with your team, you ensure the order gets ready in time.You Interpret the instructions and work schedules.You set up and operate the semi-automatic welding equipment and machines.Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and proceduresDetermine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirementsSet up components for welding according to specifications (e.g.
cut material with powered saws to match measurements)Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be weldedAlign components using calipers, rulers etc.
and clamp piecesWeld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)Repair machinery and other components by welding pieces and filling gapsTest and inspect welded surfaces and structure to discover flawsMaintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety Requirements Proven experience as welderDriver’s LicencePrepared to work on locationExperience in Welding with a Semi-automatic (pipe welding) for both very fine and coarser work.Experience in using electrical or manual tools (saws, squares, calipers etc.)Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawingsKnowledge of relative safety standards and willingness to use protective clothing (face-shield, gloves etc.)Deftness and attention to detailProfessional Certification (e.g.
