Programme Coordinator NFE, BMM3 Project Role Purpose British Council will implement the Better Migration Management III (BMM) regional programme in Sudan, Ethiopia and Uganda.

We are seeking a Project Officer to support the project delivery in Sudan as part of the country team.

Main accountabilities but not limited to the following:

Programme Delivery Support the project to be compliant with all internal and client policies and processes Support the administrative and financial as well as procurement delivery as per British Council policy and client requirements.

Support the achievement of all agreed outputs as required by the line manager; Manages all EDI processes and ensures comprehensive use of internal tools in project delivery Support the administrative and financial as well as procurement delivery as per British Council policy and client requirements Manages, finance, procurement, compliance and reporting on the project Relationship and stakeholders Contribute to relationship and stakeholder engagement including relationship with clients and implementing partners Build and maintain professional relationships with coalition partners and other key players Resources and People Management Support the management of financial resources to implement project activity accurately allocated, forecasted, monitored, and reported Ensure that relevant business processes (procurement, sales, travel and expenses, etc.) carried out in line with corporate standards using SAP where appropriate.

Ensure that procurement is managed in the highest standards suppliers selected and managed to maximum value for money Risk Management To identify, assess, report and monitor progress in addressing risks to the achievement of project objectives.

To provide timely and accurate MCC reports to capture programme progression, challenges and risks to the senior programme manger Monitoring and Evaluation Support the deliver of the monitoring and evaluation plan for Sudan, using the BMM programme’s monitoring and evaluation framework; Responsible for data management including timely data entry, quality assurance of data and undertaking basic analysis of monitoring data Marketing and Communications Liaise with communication team, responsible for the effective communication and dissemination of the programme.

Communicates internally and externally about project’s success and impact stories Equality, diversity and inclusion and Child Protection standards Support the Director Programmes to ensure that programme delivery and activity reflect British Council EDI policy; Ensure that child protection policy and standards are followed and maintained for all relevant projects Role-specific knowledge and experience:

Essential requirements:

University Degree in project management, business or social studies including in development, migration, social studies or any relevant field.

At least 2 years’ experience in supporting the delivery of projects.

Desirable:

Project Management for Development (PMD) Financial Management for Development (FMD) equivalent Management of Risk (MoR)
