Your job in a nutshell The Workshop and Lab Manager plays a critical role in the AdvancedRefractories team, overseeing the MechatronicsWorkshop and the R&D Lab of the AdvancedRefractories Business Unit.
As a key support to the supply chain, this position ensures seamless integration and conducts thorough shop tests for our innovative robotic applications.
Your main responsibilities are:
Ensuring the proper upkeep and maintenance of AR workshops and equipment Optimizing the supply chain and managing subcontracted parts and services Ensuring compliance and sustainability of AR equipment and R&D activities in accordance with local regulations, international standards, and Vesuvius Group policies Requirements Taking care of Workshop, Lab, and equipment maintenance, including:
Ensuring proper functioning of installed equipment, utilities, and waste management Handling purchasing, invoicing, receiving, inventorying, and shipping operations for the Workshop and the Lab Adhering to Vesuvius Group policies to maintain a productive work environment Implementing and overseeing Vesuvius Group HSE procedures, supervised by the local HSE Manager Supervising new AdvancedRefractories capex projects on site Collaborating with local administrative and maintenance teams at the site location Are you ready to roll up your sleeves and take charge of managing our site support for exciting R&D activities? In this role, you'll be responsible for:
Taking care of the general maintenance of our cutting-edge robotic and lab equipment Evaluating vendors and developing our supply chain for subcontracted parts and services needed for our R&D projects Coordinating and following up on subcontracted services and assembly work Providing workshop supervision for the assembly of new robotic solutions, collaborating closely with our R&D engineers Assisting and overseeing shop tests to ensure the success of our R&D projects Join our team and showcase your skills and expertise! We are looking for candidates who possess the qualifications and experience necessary to excel in this role:
Are you an experienced leader with at least 10 years of experience in a supervisory role? We're particularly interested in candidates who have spent 5 years in facility management and have a track record of successfully managing workshops.
Do you have 5 years of hands-on experience in mechatronics engineering activities? If so, we would love to hear from you.
Are you an expert when it comes to HSE standards and methodologies? We value your expertise.
Do you possess a thorough knowledge of common EC standards and requirements? Your familiarity with these standards will be a major asset in this role.
In addition to your experience, do you hold any professional certificates such as a forklift driving license, overhead crane certification, or BA5? Let us know, as these will be considered as valuable qualifications.
Have you gained relevant experience in mechatronics and/or automation? We would definitely consider this as a valuable asset.
Are you familiar with ERP systems such as SAP? Your experience with these systems will be highly regarded.
Finally, your hands-on problem-solving experiences will be essential in this role.
