In this role your main tasks will include:
Ensuring compliance with legal requirements for doing business in the markets of responsibility, with a particular focus on France, the United Kingdom and SpainActing as the main person of contact on legal matters for the management and business teams and providing legal guidance and advice to them on business initiatives and other local mattersDrafting, reviewing and supporting the negotiation of commercial agreementsAssisting in legal issues related to distributor compliance (e.g., social media, e-commerce, advertisement, consumer protection, anti-trust regulations, privacy, …)Handling complaints of distributors and consumers; managing litigation and coordinating outside legalcounselsMonitoring and staying abreast of legal developments in direct and distance selling in all markets of responsibilityQualificationsA master’s degree in lawMinimum 5 years of relevant experience as an in-house legalcounsel in an international company.Thorough understanding of EU Commercial, Consumer Protection and Privacy LawsExperience with e-commerce, digital content and consumer-facing technology issues, and/or with direct selling are a strong assetExcellent English and French skills, both written and verbal, and knowledge of Dutch is a plusProficient knowledge of Microsoft OfficeProfileYou are able to apply the law to novel situations and to demonstrate the ability to find pragmatic and creative solutions to business issues where appropriateYou are able to communicate effectively in a fast-paced, multi-cultural environmentYou have strong analytical skill and are able to capture and understand the essence, needs and challenges of the businessYou have an open, unprejudiced and international mind; you are capable of building strong working relationshipsYou are assertive, self-confident and a true team player, and at the same time you are able to work autonomouslyYou work well and effectively under pressure, are able to prioritize and are pro-active when appropriateYou have an interest in the e-commerce and digital worldWhat we offerA chance to work in a dynamic international environment, full of opportunities, far away from a “routine” and very diversified tasksAmazing, friendly company culture in which you feel empowered and have space to develop yourself to the fullestThe possibility to work in a hybrid model:
