Communicate key competitive activities, market trends, and changing customer development plans and priorities, which include emerging customersBuild and manage relationships by telephone and email with customers and potential customers in an assigned territory to allow product and service information to be communicated and strategic information to be captured.

Consolidate these relationships occasionally by field actionsEnsure a specific management of potential customers out of the database, qualifying their business potential in order to develop business opportunities and growthParticipate in sales, product and systems training, marketing campaigns, special projects as presented by the Company to develop appropriate selling skills consistent with Company philosophy, policies, and proceduresWork together with other field sales to coordinate the approach on the accounts.

This includes qualifying leads on high value accounts, supporting tender response coordination, ensuring all in-bound sales enquiry qualification and quote generation, coordinating customer demonstrationDevelop and maintain detailed customer/prospect records and ensure that the relevant mailing list and database reflects this information ( Customer Contacts Database, CRM and Marketing Database)People Specification:

Degree in Life Science based subject (Preferably MSc/PhD) –Some experience from a sales function in relevant industry would be an asset!Good command of French and EnglishGood Interpersonal skills by phone with excellent listening & questioning skillsStrong capabilities to interact effectively with all customer typesAbility to function effectively in a high-performance teamAbility to manage time effectively, to prioritize and complete tasks requiredDemonstrates a positive attitude and desire to succeedExhibits a high degree of flexibility in adapting to a constantly evolving business environmentPractical understanding of the sales process & buying cycleGood negotiation skills Computer knowledge, including Microsoft Office packageOffice based with 20% of time in the field to visit customersAgilityAt Thermo Fisher Scientific, each one of our 90,000 extraordinary minds has a unique story to tell.
