Identify and manage cost and service improvements and enable growth through a deep understanding of the customer requirements, external trends and relevant supply chain innovationIn conjunction with key partners undertake annual review of the Warehouse and Transport network to ensure capacity & resilience whilst optimizing cost and serviceOperationalChair and manage meetings with the Divisional Sales & Commercial teams, to ensure that the Customer Service & Logistics function is aligned and can be pro active in terms of new customer / product launches, promotions, account development and issues resolution.Partner with the Executive sponsors/Sales Directors in regular meetings with the top 15 customers to ensure that customer agreements appropriately consider Customer Service and Logistics factors that will enable optimum service delivery and prevent margin loss through unforeseen costs to deliver.Support the Customer Service & Logistics team to ensure it operates at an optimum level of efficiency and effectiveness whilst meeting the agreed performance levels and adhering to agreed budgets.Manage and improve the Customer Service experience for the McBridecustomers, ensuring the company maintains a strong reputation for customer service within the private label FMCG market.Review asset and resource utilisation and effect measures to improve cost effectiveness of the logistics operations in terms of warehouse footprint and transport solutions (e.g.
use of alternative service networks that improve efficiency and/or effectiveness of the operations)Maintain awareness and assess implications for the Customer Service & Logistics function, of external influences such as emerging legislation, employment law, fuel costs, changing customer requirements and environmental requirementsWork with the GroupCustomer Service & Logistics Director to troubleshoot and improve working practices processes and procedures to make Continuous Improvement in Safety, Service and CostImplement standard best in class processes for Customer Services colleagues.Coordinate with sales/commercial and other group functions to incorporate plans to increase customer satisfactionYour profile:
Technical skillsDegree or equivalent in Logistics and/or Business Management or equivalent combination of education and work experience in similar positions10 years progressive management level operational/ development experienceWorked in a European organisation within a cross-functional and cross-cultural setting within a remote networkLanguages:
Fluent in English, other languages are a strong assetInformation skills:
Very good knowledge of MS Office and hands on experience of deploying software for warehouse/transportation management and simulation – e.g.
