Provide strategic guidance for the research IT landscape, from vision to tactical solutions.Act as a visionary and strategist, offering insights for long-term solutions.Develop tactics for enhancing IT infrastructure and evolving technology portfolios.Establish rules, principles, and guidelines for technology solution development.Research market landscape for insights, vendors, and emerging methods.Serve as a technical expert liaison across teams, stakeholders, and partners.Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience, and skills:
Relevant knowledge in IT software used in research such as IBM Spectrum LSF, RedHat Linux, Azure, and Kubernetes are desired.ITIL, Project Management, or certifications in platform technologies (HPE, Netapp, Nvidia) are advantageous.Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or IT scientific fields.Deep understanding of datacenter, HPC, and storage system architecture.Extensive experience in managing large multi-site infrastructures within pharmaceutical or research sectors.Deep knowledge of network security principles and protocols, with experience interfacing with external suppliers and managing budgets for infrastructure maintenance and enhancements.Why you should applyDo you want to contribute in bringing real value to patients living with severe diseases while driving innovation forward?Join UCB’s dynamic, inspiring and innovative environment and team.
