Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain Information Systems in alignment with project requirements.Collaborate with business analysts, customers, users, and project leaders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet stakeholders' needs.Utilize agile scrum methodologies for project management and development.Demonstrate expertise in Java, Angular, and PostgreSQL to architect and develop robust solutions.Ensure compliance with security standards and encryption techniques in line with DevSecOps principles.Write clear and structured technical and functional documents to facilitate understanding and maintenance of systems.Participate in multilingual meetings and integrate effectively into an international/multicultural environment.
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in IT or related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in Java development.Minimum 1 year of experience in Angular development.Minimum 2 years of experience in PostgreSQL.Proficiency in service-oriented, REST web services architecture.Strong knowledge of Confluence, JIRA, SMT, and Outlook.Experience with agile scrum management methodologies.Ability to adapt to fast-changing technologies and application architectures.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to write technical documentation.Familiarity with the European Commission's IT procedures and administrative processes.Strong communication skills in English (C1 level) and French (B1 level is advantageous).EU-27 security clearance or willingness to undergo security screening.
Working Conditions:
Remote work (Near-site, Brussels, Belgium), occasional travel to Brussels may be required.Laptop provided by the CommissionSecurity screening by the Commission's security directorate (HR.DS) is mandatory.
