As a senior member of the IT Security team, the DataSecurityArchitect’s everyday responsibilities includes cultivating a culture of datasecurity awareness and arranging continuing education of personnel and project teams to ensure datasecurity policies are up-to-date and always adhered to.As a DataSecurityArchitect you will play a pivotal role in shaping and implementing robust security solutions to safeguard UCB’s assets and information.The DataSecurityArchitect will have to collaborate and work with different departments in and outside IT.What you’ll doDesign data infrastructure patterns to extract and organize data, ensuring compliance with UCB Access Management systems, standards, and policies.Evaluate internal and external data sources and flows for security considerations, implementing necessary measures to safeguard data integrity.Collaborate with various departments to understand their datasecurity requirements and establish effective datasecurity protocols.Support data office domain leads in implementing and maintaining datasecurity measures.Enhance security team competencies by planning solution delivery and providing technical guidance.Develop and maintain securityarchitecture aligned with business objectives and industry best practices, including defining policies, standards, and best practices for data governance and leakage prevention.Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skillsMaster’s degree with a Computer Science background or Cyber Security degree.
Security related certifications such as CISSP, CISM, GIAC, etc.Over 10 years of IT experience, specializing in cyber securityDeep understanding and expertise in datasecurity, leakage, and protectionProficient in creating and analyzing data flows, as well as implementing Data Leakage Prevention programsKnowledgeable in ISO 27001/27002, NIST, NIS2, and other frameworksExtensive background in information and cyber security, including risk management and defense strategiesSkilled in translating IT threats into actionable, risk-based plans, with strong communication and problem-solving abilitiesWhy you should applyAt UCB, we strive to attract passionate and outstanding talents who thrive on change and are ready to bring real value to patients.
