• Translating functional requirements into technical specifications.
Technical Analysis.
Technical design.
Effort estimations.
• Prototyping of IT systems, modules and components.
• Programming IT software (IT development).
• Testing (unit testing and integration testing), validation of solutions.
• Drafting documentation (technical and functional) including documentation for the support team.
• Assisting the support team with the training of system users.
• Assisting with the evaluation and testing of products delivered by external system suppliers so as to ensure their compliance with the project specifications, and required methodology if any.
• Troubleshooting, debugging, diagnosis, user support.
• Participation in meetings with the end users.
• SAP customization.
• Programming with ABAP or Java.
Knowledge and Skills:
All of the following:
• In-depth knowledge of application development; • Good knowledge of the design and development of web and multi-tier applications; • Good knowledge of modelling (e.g.
UML, BPMN, entity-relationship diagrams); • Knowledge of software development methodologies (e.g.
SAP Activate, RUP, AGILE, SCRUM, SAP ASAP); • Knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS,and HANA); • Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments; • Ability to participate in multi-lingual meetings, capability to communicate clearly and appropriately both orally and in writing.
Specific Knowledge and Skills:
In addition to the Knowledge and Skills, one or more of the following:
Expertise in traditional SAP ERP development, integration and test tools like ABAP, ABAP Objects, ABAP WorkBench, ABAP performance tuning, Dynpro, SQL Trace, RFC, iDoc/ALE, BAPI, SAP Workflow, testing with eCATT and within Solution Manager; SAP Smartforms; Expertise in non-traditional SAP development, integration and test tools like SAP NetWeaver, SAP Web AS, SAP Process Integration (PI), SAP J2EE, Java Web DynPro, WSDL, Web services, XML; SOA expertise with the SAP SOA solution (SAP Composition Environment), SAP PI, and with Web Services development in SAP; Expertise with SAP Fiori and SAP S4/Hana.
Note:
When non-proprietary SAP technologies or standards are specified (e.g.
Web Services), it is required that such technologies/standards be mastered within a SAP context (e.g.
how to expose a given SAP functionality as a Web Service).
