Unfortunately, current AI techniques are characterized by unpredictable or highly variable performance, making them unsuitable for the requirements of real-time systems.The project focuses on research on optimizing AI techniques in a single or a combination of processing edges (GPU, FPGA), to meet industrial run time requirements [Latency and (Energy/Computation) Efficiency] of real-time industrial systems.As an experienced AI engineer, you will assist the team of experts to implement specific use cases on edge hardware and compare their performance with conventional methods.Required qualificationsA Master of Science or PhD in Computer Science, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering, Math or Physics with 5 years of experience Industrial and/or academic expertise in defining and solving optimisation problems; Experience with embeddedsystems low level software.
Machine learning (CNN, RNN, LSTM, Transformers, VAE, DRL), algorithmic foundations of multi-agent optimization, advanced statistics and artificial intelligence (AI) in general, are your second nature Programming experience in one or more of the following languages:
Python and/or C/C++.
