You will be part of the Quality & Technical Integration Team together with Experts from different specialties.

Together with your colleagues, you will be responsible for the “Construction Engineering” expertise within the specialty of Substations and HV lines, and the “Surveyingexpertise for both Substations, HV lines and cables projects.

The Technical Integration Expert looks for optimal technical solutions that meet the technical-economic needs, the customers and the market, and that are tailored to the development and maintenance of the electricity grid.

You take into account all relevant strategies in terms of finance, environment, safety, standards, etc., as well as the available resources.

You work closely with the technical expertise and maintenance departments, and with the project teams that realize the investment projects, and you take the safety aspect into account in every thinking exercise.

More specifically, this position includes the following tasks and responsibilities related to your area of expertise (Construction Surveying):

For the Construction Engineering section (in collaboration with Construction Engineering colleagues):

Drawing up and maintaining the Technical Standards in the field of mast foundations (both surface foundations and deep foundations) and architectural structures for substations; Drawing up and maintaining the General Technical Specifications for Civil Engineering Contractors and the templates for the Special Technical Specifications; Drafting and maintaining Engineering Guidelines.

These documents describe the guidelines that must be followed during the studies of concrete projects, taking into account existing standards; Organizing experience feedback, providing solutions to identified problems and anchoring these solutions in existing and new standards in such a way that the above-mentioned documents can be continuously improved in consultation with the various stakeholders involved in the implementation of the projects ( Contractors, Project Leaders, Site Supervisors, Maintenance Representatives etc); Providing support and handling complex technical issues regarding the domain of expertise at the request of the project teams, maintenance teams or the Asset Manager; Organizing communication sessions towards stakeholders in terms of standards, specifications, engineering guidelines or experience feedback; Organizing, in collaboration with Purchasing, the Technical Recognition of Contractors (Qualification of Companies and Certification of People); Developing processes, templates and methods related to the technical activities (e.g.

project note template, preparation and follow-up of quality control processes of study and implementation, etc.); Carrying out a number of specific checks on certain project deliverables; Monitor market developments, interesting tools and innovative solutions that could possibly be implemented within the organization after thorough evaluation and comparison; And for the Surveying part:

Drafting and maintaining the General Technical Specifications and Engineering Guidelines.

These documents describe the guidelines that must be followed during the realization of surveying activities by External Partners, taking into account existing legislation; Monitoring technical and innovative developments within the field for both measuring techniques and supporting tools, evaluating their relevance, and, where appropriate, introducing and implementing them within the organization; Communicating and providing the necessary training regarding updates to regulations and the implementation of new technologies; Provide support to the project teams if necessary; Qualifying external parties for surveying activities; In exceptional cases, carrying out survey measurements mainly for urgent cases.

In addition, it is part of the responsibility, in consultation with the technical expertise departments:

to ensure professional management of the technical standards and associated tools necessary for the proper implementation of the projects; to ensure that the organization has the most advanced engineering tools available for its infrastructure projects.

Service requirements:

You have a master of science degree in industrial sciences
- Surveying, and you show an interest in the development of substations and HV networks.

The fact that you are registered in the Federal Council of Surveyors and therefore have the official title to the profession of Land Surveyor (sworn surveyor) is a plus.

Having several years of experience is also a plus.

You have good knowledge of the legislation surrounding the expertise domain of Construction and Surveying.

You have an analytical mind and good assessment skills.

You are assertive and can objectively summarize and align any differing views of various experts You show initiative and can work independently.

You can work well in a team, have good communication skills, have persuasive powers and know how to convey a message in an instructive way (oral and written).

You have a perfect command of one of the two national languages and have a good knowledge of the second national language and ideally also of English
