You’ll be developing and applying your analytical, interpersonal, and business management skills from day one at a very exciting time for WEX as we determine and implement our overall AI Strategy.How You’ll Make an Impact AI Strategy Definition, Value Identification, and Implementation:
Understand and translate corporate and business strategy into an aligned enterprise AI strategyPartner with commercial, product, and tech partners on AI use case identification, owning validation and valuation of opportunities to drive portfolio prioritization (“the what”)Partner with Product and Data Science team to drive AI innovation idea generation, validate opportunities and value potential to narrow in on the top growth opportunities for both AI-native products + how we transform current products with AIPartner with AI Platforms team to determine and recommend build / buy / partner path forward for prioritized opportunities For prioritized opportunities and use cases, drive business case definition in partnership with finance and key initiative ownersPartner with leadership and finance partners to communicate progress and measure value creation around AI strategy and goals ?AI Competitive & Market Intelligence:
Take charge of identifying information sources, gathering and interpreting data, executing analysis, and synthesizing facts into solutions that drive changeDeep-dive into WEX’s unique challenges, driving towards an understanding of key market opportunities, consumer expectations and experiences, and competitor benchmarkingPerform quarterly AI-oriented, LOB marketplace and competitor assessments holistically covering new & emerging opportunities or threats to WEX’s current products and offeringsLead AI-focused research initiatives to identify and interpret trends and patterns, highlighting areas of focus to accelerate our AI goals and ambitions?Communication and CollaborationEffectively communicate findings with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner including development of Board-level materials on a quarterly basis Articulate AI concepts and strategies to stakeholders at all levels, including non-technical audiencesCollaborate across the organization, from product to commercial to IT and data science teams to achieve strategic goals.Experience You’ll Bring 5-8 years of experience in a large, cross-functional strategy function and/or consulting backgroundA solid team player who’s also an independent thinkerA robust analytical skill set, an endless curiosity and a penchant for thinking about “art of the possible”; excitement and commitment to staying abreast of emerging AI technologies and methodologiesUnderstanding of AI and machine learning technologies, including their practical applications and limitations in order to identify highest value use cases.Understanding of ethical considerations in AI, including bias, privacy, and security.Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysisA strong sense of ownership in your workDeadline-driven, organized and able to multitaskHunger to sprint/hustle from one project to the next, and iterate quicklyStrong verbal, written and presentation skills, ability to communicate cross-functionally and to leadership levelComfortable with ambiguous, ever-changing situationsExcited by building out an innovative and nimble, commercial, digital and product-centric AI strategy in accordance with Chief Digital Office’s vision Nice to haveKnowledge and understanding of data science principles, data management, and data governanceKnowledge of AI development tools and platformsExperience flexing and pivoting responsibilities to support growing organizationFinancial AcumenThe base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position.
Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package.
Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan.
Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
