The TradeCompliance team supports the business in achieving compliance with all applicable import/export control requirements by implementing an internal tradecompliance program (ICP) for all VT global operations.
The scope of this role covers all aspects of Tradecompliance process management in Belgium, at the location of VTBA’s Distribution Centre.
The jobholder will need to be skilled at evaluating existing and new regulatory information quickly and assessing the degree to which it may impact on VT's operations.
This position supports the TradeCompliance Manager, based in CZ, in ensuring compliance with local applicable import/export regulations for VT.
The TC Specialist will be responsible for reviewing transactions in relation to sanctions, dual-use and end-use controls to ensure compliance with the VT global tradecompliance policies.
Additionally, the TC Specialist will support all applicable Customs requirements relating to imports into Belgium.What we expect of you..

Supporting the Belgian export control process:
Preparing and submitting the export license applicationsLiaising with local authorities throughout application processMonitoring any local regulatory changesInternal audits of above processesSupporting the EU TradeCompliance Manager in other daily operational tasks, including (but not limited to):
Verification of GTS order blocksReleasing order blocks in GTSEnhanced Screening procedures (as defined in VTBA Global TradeCompliance Manual)Other manual checks on end-users, customersSupporting global classification team (VT only) in setting items for export in GTSTo develop and manage effective relationships with Government agencies (including Strategic Goods Control Unit (CSG))Attending local Customs/export control seminarsSupporting customs/export control auditsCommunicating on strategic goodsKey point of contact for PTD Logistics/Shipping teamCommunicating any license conditionsPreferential origin confirmation and communication, where applicableMaintaining local SOP’sTo keep informed of changes to relevant trade control legislation and ensure any processes are reviewed as a result of such changes.To succeed, you will need to ..

Have three years plus of tradecompliance experience.
This is to include sound knowledge of EU dual-use regulations, BE export licensing, trade sanctionsPossess knowledge of the Digital Portal of SGCDHave EU HTS and ECCN (dual-use) classification experienceAre ERP and manufacturing systems literate -SAP GTS experience preferredHave knowledge of how global tradecompliance fits with international operations, logistics and supply chain managementAre fluent in English and Dutch or FrenchPossess excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills.What you can expect from us..
