For our Site Based Team at ArcelorMittal – Ghent, Belgium we are looking for a SeniorMechanicalEngineer Purpose You will provide mechanicalengineering services to Worley' and its customer, including technical support within the mechanicalengineering team as described below:
Responsibilities Deliver mechanicalengineering services that meet Worley', its customer and applicable statutory and regulatory specifications, on time and within budget.Perform mechanicalengineering services such as:
participate in relevant technical meetings, and comply with required checking procedures and provide assistance on and advice during procurement, construction and commissioning activities. For example, oversee requisitions, technical detail drawings, technical bid evaluations and purchase order preparation, including follow-upMonitor the man-hour budget, staffing plan, and schedule to ensure that project objectives are met, and execution is within the approved mechanical man-hours budget.Proactively resolve any discrepancies between Worley and its Customers’ requirements.Ensure all engineering and design work performed adheres to quality, cost and schedule requirementsCoordinate and cooperate with the lead engineers of other disciplines to ensure the smooth flow of all information in the project task force, and to ensure alignment with project requirementsKeep up to date with the latest developments and technical innovations in mechanicalengineering and designCommunicate effectively with and within the mechanicalengineering team and project stakeholders, including the CustomerIdentify issues and problems, develop appropriate solutions, and ask for assistance when requiredEstablish and maintain proper interface with Customer’ representatives throughout the life of the project.
What you will bring Technical and Industry Experience:
Highly effective technical and practical engineering skills and ability to consistently deliver quality, accurate and timely work to Worley and its Customers.Excellent knowledge of the fundamental requirements of the mechanicalengineering, and the basic requirements of other engineering fields such as piping, electrical, instrumentation and civil.Extensive knowledge base in mechanical conveying equipment, such as belt conveyors, stacker/reclaimers, etc..

Experience with making specifications, RFQ’s, technical bid tabs, …Familiar with rotating equipment and machinery package units Knowledge of European Directives such as PED, among othersCompetent use of relevant software such as MS Office Suite and mechanicalengineering specific softwareExperience in bulk handling, manufacturing industry and equipment design Moving forward togetherWe want our people to be energized and empowered to drive sustainable impact.
