Janssen R&D, a member of Johnson & Johnson's Family of Companies, is recruiting for a Scientist for the Department of Analytical Development
- Clinical Release and Stability, located in Beerse, Belgium.

The Clinical Release and Stability (CRS) team is a critical part of the Global Analytical Development department in the Therapeutics Development and Supply (TDS) organization within Janssen R&D and strives for a fully scientific understanding of the stability behavior of Drug Substance (DS) and Drug Product (DP) for small molecules and new modalities by designing, execution and interpretation of tailored stability studies.
Additionally, CRS is responsible for (non-) clinical release and manufacturing/characterization support of DS and DP from phase I up to registration.

For this laboratory-based position, the successful candidate will apply multiple analytical techniques to support product development.
Fit for purpose analytical methods will be developed to assist analytical stability studies in support of the product development strategy.

Key Responsibilities:


* Design and implement the scientific product characterization strategy in close collaboration with the analytical method development organization.


* Develop fit for purpose liquid chromatographic methods to support initial product characterization.


* Perform analysis in support of product characterization and clinical development.
Focus will be on Liquid Chromatography.


* Perform scientific data aggregation and evaluation, communicate and discuss your results with project team lead.


* Digitalization of analytical data sets to drive analytical data sciences.


* Represent the lab team in cross-functional workgroups and act as subject matter expert for specific lab processes.


* Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, analytical methods and specifications, GMP and safety.


* Attend and present at scientific seminars.

Education:


* You hold minimally a Master degree in Chemistry, Bio-engineering, or Pharmaceutical Sciences with 5 years of applicable industry experience.

Experience and Skills:

Required:


* Profound knowledge and experience of analytical techniques required for drug substance and drug product characterization.


* Innovative mentality that owns and drives new ideas to completion.


* Flexible and adapt quickly to constantly evolving business needs.


* Good written and verbal communication skills in English language.


* Knowledge of GMP regulations is an asset.


* Team player that can lead initiatives.
