# Skills, knowledge, and experience **Essential criteria* * 1.
A PhD in a relevant social science, humanities or healthcare discipline2.
Advanced skills and previous experience in use of Conversation Analysis in applied research3.
Experience in qualitative interviewing4.
Excellent record keeping and a very high standard approach to research integrity5.
Ability to work independently and deliver high-quality, consistent results in a timely fashion6.
Ability to solve complex problems7.
Ability to understand, interpret, and communicate complex data8.
Excellent presentation and communication skills (written & verbal)9.
Being self-motivated and willing to work independently, as well as part of a larger interdisciplinary team10.
Motivated, creative and able to act on own initiative11.
Committed to equality, diversity and inclusion, actively addressing areas of potential bias and discrimination.
**Desirable criteria* * 1.
Experience in health and/or social care settings.2.
Experience with people with intellectual disabilities and/or mental health difficulties.3.
Engagement in multidisciplinary research projects4.
Skills in specialist transcription software such as Transana or ELAN.5.
Strong publication record.
