- Prepare and present findings of research activity to colleagues within the TRANS-FOODS project for review purposes.
- Contribute to publications arising from the TRANS-FOODS project.
- Minute taking of meetings.
- To follow and update existing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the clinical study.
- Assist in writing new SOPs for the clinical study.
- Compliance with the ethical regulations imposed by King’s College London, Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Trust.
- To establish and maintain excellent working relationships within the TRANS-FOODS team but also the wider Paediatric & Population-Based Dermatology team.
- The post holder may be asked to support other Research Assistant activities within the Paediatric & Population-Based Dermatology Research Group.
- In all of the above, acting proactively and exercising judgement and providing work output to a high standard and acting with the utmost professionalism, and discretion, and ensuring confidentiality.

* # Skills, knowledge, and experience **Essential criteria*
* 1.

Educated to degree level or other relevant experience.2.

Experience in a research environment.3.

Excellent organisational skills.4.

Excellent presentation, verbal and written communication skills with experience of building an effective network across a complex organisation.5.

Ability to manage priorities under pressure.6.

Accuracy and attention to detail with ability to maintain confidentiality.7.

Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment, multitask and deal with competing demands.8.

Document and IT control skills, specifically in database management and MS Office.

**Desirable criteria*
* 1.

Experience in screening potential participants on clinical studies.2.

Experience with study visits.3.

Experience or knowledge of extracting interstitial skin fluid.
