The role demands a handson approach to ensure that the EPCM contractor's work complies with the project’s quality standards and procedures.
• Conduct on-site inspections and spot checks to verify the quality of the construction work performed by the EPCM contractor.
• Enforce the project’s quality control procedures and standards as established by the Quality Assurance Manager.
• Report any quality issues or deviations to the Quality Assurance Manager and assist in corrective action plans.
• Review the EPCM contractor’s field quality documents, including inspection reports, test results, and certification records for compliance.
• Coördinate with construction supervisors to ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project specifications.
• Assist the Quality Assurance Manager in reviewing and approving the EPCM contractor’s quality documentation.
• Support the QA team in conducting audits and reviews of the quality management system.
• Train and guide on-site personnel regarding the project's quality expectations and inspection practices.
• Maintain and compile comprehensive quality control records and documentation for project archives.
Functie-eisen • Degree or diploma in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related technical field.
• Proven field experience (more than 10 years is preferred) in QA/QC roles within the construction industry, ideally on large-scale projects.
• In-depth knowledge of quality standards, methodologies, and regulatory compliance relevant to the Belgian construction industry.
• Exceptional observational skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work seamlessly with diverse teams and effectively manage stakeholder relationships on-site.
• Ability to communicate effectively with on-site teams and provide clear, concise reports to management.
• Certification in Quality Control or Quality Assurance from a recognized institution is preferred.
• Knowledge of the local language (Dutch) and English is essential.
• Valid VCA certificate.
