The Infrastructure Projects Department manages all infrastructure projects involving Fluxys' grid in Belgium.
To support these projects, the ProjectsMaterial Department optimises and ensures the availability of materials, taking into account quality, traceability and compliance with legal requirements and applicable standards.
JobpurposeParticipating in Fluxys' growth through optimal and compliant management of the materials needed for the development of projects My steep learning curve motivates me and keeps me here - Nick Rys, Product Manager Yourresponsibilities You will travel abroad to audit suppliers in order to ensure they meet Fluxys quality standardsYou will check whether suppliers comply with Belgian regulatory practices, such as manufacturing processes, traceability and health and safety measuresYou will serve as an interface between our suppliers, our internal customers and the inspection body in order to guarantee that the equipment supplied complies with Fluxys specifications.
To this end, you will be responsible for:
Resolving and monitoring technical issues related to the material production process in collaboration with the inspection body and the various Fluxys departmentsProviding technical consultancy on tendering and production for standard materialsNegotiating contracts with suppliers in collaboration with buyers You will be responsible for managing inventories of materials You will proactively analyse the supply proposals and will manage the process of purchasing equipment in order to optimise availabilityYou will manage data relating to new materials and will proactively analyse replacement products in consultation with the relevant departments AboutyouAs a purpose driven company, we foster agility and open-mindedness.

A master’s degree in welding engineering would be a mustInitial professional experience in an industrial environment or in the energy industry would be a plusA strong interest in materials technology used in the industrial sector (petrochemicals, piping, boilermaking)An ability to think critically, a logical approach and a meticulous and precise approach to your workTrue team spirit enabling you to forge links between the various departmentsProactivity and the ability to solve problems and find solutionsExcellent French, Dutch and EnglishA good command of MS Office Additionally, this role requires:
