Main Responsibilities:
Manage a set of projects in accordance with the strategy definedDefine strategic portfolio planManage a set of R&D projects (both Self-Funded and Customer Funded ones) relying on different projectmanagersAlign projects to strategic objectivesbased on clear project objectives, define initial project baselines in cooperation with projectmanagersEnsure that the objectives of the different projects are aligned with the strategy at any timeIdentify potential bottleneck and set priorities as requiredReview financial figures (actuals and estimated to complete) of each project individually on a monthly basis with corresponding projectmanager and put them in perspective with the progress based on the Earn Valued Management methodology.Consolidate the projectportfolio’s financial figuresIdentify any lack of resources (quantity or skill) to achieve projectportfolio objectives and suggest appropriate actionsManage risks and opportunities at projectportfolio levelDefine appropriate key performance indicators and carry out the corresponding reporting to the managementProfile:
Required level of studies and experienceMaster degree in Engineering or Business administration, with at least 10 years’ experience in project/portfolio management in a high-tech environment.An experience working for an international company;Project or Portfolio management certification such as PMP or IPMA is clearly an asset;Knowledge and skillsYou are a true leader;You are business oriented, proactive and autonomous;You have excellent communication skills;You like to analyze figures and you are particularly familiar with financial data;You are able to think out of the box;You have strong spoken and written communication skills;You are able to work inside matrix teams and you are a real team-player;You always challenge yourself in order to bring new ideas and new skills in your day-to-day job;You are fluent in French and English (oral and written communication);The defense sector’s knowledge will be considered as a major asset.At Thales we provide CAREERS and not only jobs.
