Your role Are you ready to join us on the road towards carbon zero compression? Are you passionate about mechanicaldesign? Then this role is for you! As a projectengineer at AtlasCopco Wilrijk you are responsible for the development of new products, conforming to procedures and taking specifications into account such as product performance, product cost and project timing.
Additionally, you maintain existing product designs and suggest ideas for improving their quality. As a projectengineermechanicaldesign, you work on the newest generation of oil free screw compressors on the road towards carbon zero compression.
Your focus is on mechanical parts such as piping, castings, machine parts, sheet metal etc. You design the compressor lay-out in 3D-CAD and detail design in 2D.
You select and calculate key machine components and materials such as gears, bearings, seals, ..
.
After the design, you interact with suppliers to order prototype parts and follow up on the orders.
You follow up the assembly of the prototypes and define test programs and support lab tests in the validation process during testing so the results can be taken back to the design. When we can move towards serial production, you provide final documents such as drawings, bill-of-material, technical documentation, ..
.
During the entire process, you provide technical information to parties such as our lab, production or service people when solving internal and/or external customer issues. You will report to the Teamleader Engineering and will be able to work hybrid at our site in Wilrijk.
