Consults with employees giving them the opportunity to contribute to the development and implementation of programs, policies and procedures that will have a direct impact on their work environment.Interprets results from hazard identification, environmental aspect identification and risk assessment programs to identify strategic risk improvement projects or gaps in health, safety and environmental compliance obligations.Monitors and measures health, safety and environmental performance metrics, legal compliance findings, and internal and external audit results to identify and prioritize projects using a risk-based, data-driven approach.Tracks performance against project goals and timelines.
Develops and maintains project related metrics, communicating project status to respective stakeholders.Manages all project related costs, project risk and project resources, working with team to resolve issues.Leads projects from identification through implementation utilizing Cummins approved methodologies.
Utilizes the plan, do, check, act methodology to drive continuous improvement throughout the site(s).Develops project related support materials for training, skills development and internal communications.Leads formal training session as required.
Develops and maintains policies, procedures, tools and resources for assigned projects ensuring they are up to date, controlled and available while adhering to data privacy regulations.Supports site(s) Health, Safety, Environmental Management Systems through participation in site audits.
Your Profile College, university, or equivalent degree required.
Occupational Health, Safety or Environmental degree preferred.Preventionadvisorlevel 1 certification (experience from the gas industry is preferred).Intermediate or relevant experience required, including team leadership and project management.Experience with Industrial Safety Standards preferred.Good communication skills and capable of handling conflict in a constructive way.Experience in working with continuous process improvement.Strong interpersonal skills, work well within a high pressure, dynamic, deadline-oriented and team-focused environment.Fluent in English is mandatory.Fluent in Dutch is strongly preferred.
