Your MissionYour mission is to lead all PLC related RFI, RFQ towards suppliers, ensuring timely benchmarking of quotations.
Youre the go-to person for supply chain topics between R&D, IND departments and vendors during the new component introduction.You execute and follow up all purchase order activities for tooling, NRE, prototype and null series to secure the material deliveries according to the project deadlines.
You monitor and secure quality and delivery performance of the concerned suppliers during prototyping and sampling phase until null series.
If needed, you propose corrective actions and ensure follow-up.
You also prospect, propose and audit new suppliers to support new technologies.Additionally, youre involved in contract negotiations, introducing, and preparing supply contracts.
You maintain supplier and procurement data for all new components in the SAP MRP system, specifically focusing on Master data.As part of PLC project teams, you plan and report all necessary NPI purchasing activities, according to a stage gate PLC process and secure the needed management reporting towards the global supply chain and operations colleagues (Project Management).At last, you provide component cost estimates, conducting in-depth evaluations of supplier quotations to ensure the best total cost of ownership.
You prepare make versus buy scenarios, identifying potential cost-saving opportunities through thorough analysis.
You identify opportunities to reduce landed cost, lead times and material inventories for future serial productions.Your QualificationsYou have a Technical Master or Bachelor with purchasing affinity, or an Economical Master with track record in technical purchasing.You bring a strong track record in purchasing and have good knowledge of logistic and supply chain processes (S&OP, Inventory Management VMI, consignment, 2-bin, incoterms).
Additionally, you have basic knowledge in process management and optimization (LEAN, ISO certification).
Knowledge of various production technologies and markets, including electronics, connectors, enclosures, cables, formed metals, plastic injection, and gaskets are nice to have.
You have knowledge of ERP, MRP systems (preferably SAP, Microsoft Office, JIRA, and Confluence).
You are fluent in English, have basic knowledge in French and/or Dutch or ready to learn it.
All other languages are an asset.You are an assertive negotiator with strong interpersonal skills, quality-focused, and results-oriented.
