Assisting the Patent Manager in patent drafting, patent prosecution, patent portfolio management and patent infringement process for Energy Storage systems, depollution systems, Hydrogen Vessels and Fuel Cell systems Supporting the R&D innovation engineers in their innovation activities by performing searches in patent databases Providing relevant intellectual property information RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES Assisting the Patent Manager in patent drafting, patent prosecution and patent portfolio management for Clean Energy Systems and New Energies Divisions Detecting, with the project teams, the innovations interesting to be protected by patent or utility model Evaluating the patentability of innovations Drafting of patent applications Analyzing the search reports and office actions, in cooperation with external cabinet Analyzing patentability and clarity issues for patent stress tests Evaluating the potential impact of third parties patents on industrial and commercial activities of CES present or in development.

) Performing “Freedom to Operate” studies Analyzing the patent infringement situations proposed by the benchmarking team Advising the Research & Development teams with regard to all Intellectual Property issues Supporting the R&D innovation engineers in their innovation activities by performing searches in patent databases Making available for R&D teams patent references in the field of related innovations Alerting R&D teams if innovation ideas infringe existing patents of third party Providing relevant intellectual property information Realizing patent mappings in breakthrough technologies Identifying patent profile of potential partners for Open Innovation Identifying potential patent filings to be investigated by the Research and Open Innovation teams in order to take strong positions at the intellectual property level Evaluating the potential impact of third parties Analysing search reports and office actions, in cooperation with external cabinet Evaluating the potential impact of third parties PROFILE REQUIREMENTS Personal Background Master in Mechanics, Electromechanics, or equivalent as background Excellent educational background to Engineering Master degree, in chemistry preferably … Good knowledge of electro-mechanical devices At least three years of professional experience in IP either from industrial background or from private practice, with autonomy in drafting and prosecuting applications Skills & Abilities Intellectual Property in General (Patent Filing, Freedom to operate, oppositions, third parties validity, ….) Fluent in English, German and French ideally have gained good knowledge of European and US patent law through extended working experience in EU or in the US; Good personal and communication skills, optimum proficiency in both verbal and written English and German Possess excellent interpersonal skills together with the ability to relate easily at all levels within the organization, particularly to those in the Research, Development and Business.
