As an ApplicationTechnologist, you will be responsible for:
Providing input to the design, co-ordination and execution of development programmes.
Delivering new technologies within an agreed time scale and proposing potential applications and their value proposition for those new materials. Working independently from a clear project objective – planning, organizing and prioritizing own work programs; scheduling several projects simultaneously and making recommendations to the application development manager.Approaching problems in alternative and/or innovative ways and as such contributing significantly to the development of novel elastomer MDI based solutions.Establishing and maintaining close cooperation with other Elastomer platforms, including Technical Service, Commercial and Marketing teams.
Building a network with the Global Research team and using those internal and external networks to support efficient delivery of development programs.Providing the line manager with a work program that constitutes an experimental program, includes experimental discussions, relevant conclusions and recommendations for further directions of experimental programs.Keeping abreast of the market and technology development, specifically in the elastomer sector by evaluating competitive products, publications and market intelligence.Experience and Competencies:
What we are looking for:
Must have a Bachelor or Master's Degree in Chemistry.3+ years of relevant working experience.
Previous work experience with polyurethane products or processing equipment is seen as an asset.High level of detailed technical expertise in various elastomer technologies or processing machines is a strong plus.Ability to link material properties with potential new applications.A high degree of initiative, together with a positive, independent and self-managing attitude.
A very hands-on attitude is required.Good communication, teamwork and relationship-building skills are essential at all levels, both with internal as well as external customers. Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.About us:
