The Opportunity:
Your Next Adventure Awaits? We are looking for a Manager with a strong background in EU communication to join our dynamic and distinctly international EU team based in Brussels.
This team is focused on providing a wide range of implementation services to EU institutions, particularly the European Commission.
These services range from policy studies and technical assistance to provision of research, communication, and stakeholder management services.
As our project portfolio is expanding, we are looking for a versatile Senior Consultant who will be able to contribute to the policy priority areas of the EU account at EY and support the team in project delivery tasks.
Your Key Responsibilities Your tasks and responsibilities will include the following:
Performing daily project management tasks, which include drafting project documentation and deliverables, conducting detailed data analysis, compiling progress reports, managing communication with project stakeholders, and coordinating the work of junior colleagues.
Developing and implementing communication strategies and action plans, with an ability to do so independently or by overseeing the work of communication service providers and experts.
As part of this work, you will be generating various communication assets and tools for projects in execution.
Creating and implementing community engagement strategies to stimulate active participation and foster community involvement.
This work will also include developing content for community engagement, such as newsletters, blog posts, or social media updates.
Contributing to proposal preparation and consolidation, which includes writing sections of technical offers (including those focusing on communication and community management services) and coordinating the work with relevant experts and teams.
Conducting in-depth research, analyzing and generating policy content in varied formats.
Examples of outputs may range from thematic or analytical papers and case studies, to good practice extracts, mapping exercises, and stakeholder interviews.
Contributing to the design and organisation of hybrid, virtual, and face-to-face workshops and events.
This includes developing elements of the agenda, preparing content contributions, writing summaries, and facilitating event discussions.
Undertake other consultancy tasks.
In your role as Manager, we expect you to execute these tasks and responsibilities independently, with support of a (senior) manager.
You will also coordinate and review work performed by junior colleagues.
Your Profile You should have a master’s degree in a relevant field such as communications, European studies, or social sciences.
You should have 3-6 years of professional experience in consultancy, communication or public policy in an EU context.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills are essential, including the ability to interact effectively with multi-national and multi-disciplinary stakeholders.
Experience with evaluation of communication actions will be considered an asset.
You must have strong organizational and coordination skills, including excellent time management, adeptness at multi-tasking, and the ability to excel in a fast-paced work environment.
You must have solid research and writing skills, along with a proven track record of producing high-quality written deliverables (reports, studies, strategies).
You are curious with a critical mindset.
While being a team player is fundamental, the ability to work independently is equally crucial. EY MachelenFlanders
