Revise the documents for all incoming shipments from the Sales department in order to prepare the goods shipment.Coordinate with the Sales & Commercial Assistant the reception of the original shipping documents from the suppliers, whether directly or through the bank, before the vessel arrival.Follow-up with the custom clearing agent the clearing of the goods.Inform Sales of any deviation in order to take action and investigate with possibility to fill a claim.Inspect the goods when it’s received in the warehouses.Improve the process by proposing amelioration and reduce cost by reducing overtime and extra charges.Revise the custom clearing agent invoices.Prepare different reports:
Summary of clearance status of ongoing orders, Lead time of all incoming shipments and other reports upon request.Identify the reasons of any extra cost and suggest corrective action to limit any future additional costs.Contact Clients, Suppliers, Subcontractors and Custom.Warehousing tasksTake part in the maintenance of the warehouse (when applicable).Notify Sales of any request of return to stock to help determine the reasons and take necessary action.Ensure Quality standards are applied in the warehouse.Document and escalate any customer service issues and/or shipping/receiving errors.Raise claims and coordinate with Sales and Quality team.Evaluate brokers/service providers on a quarterly basis.Skills and QualificationsA minimum of 3 years experience in Logistics.Languages:
