Description You follow up on Belgian and European tax law and some related branches of law; You analyze and communicate the impact of legislation, case law and legal doctrine in the areas of taxation (VAT, excise, corporate taxes), general commercial and contract law, consumer relations and market practices, competition law, sustainability legislation and the like on trade and services; You provide information and advice to member companies and represent their interests at regional, federal and European level; You develop, in close consultation with the Head Legal & Tax, a strategic vision on taxation in the trade and services sector, which you will proactively defend to the cabinets; You are responsible for our client's Tax Committee where you prepare sector positions on taxation together with the specialists/tax specialists of the companies and you also coordinate thematic working groups; You work with our client's 'lobby' team on a wide range of tax issues, such as tax on low wages, differences in labor costs compared to neighboring countries, differences in product tariffs and excise duties compared to neighboring countries, etc; You will build an extensive network among our members and partners.
Profile You are Master in Law with additional training or specialization in taxation, or similar through experience; You are bilingual Dutch/French; you have sufficient knowledge of English; You have experience as a consultant, lawyer or corporate lawyer; You can translate complex tax and other commercial and contract law matters into understandable language and provide concrete and practical advice; You are contactable and communicatively very strong, both orally and in writing; You are analytical, hands-on and business minded; You are dynamic and can convince and enthuse others; You have a sense of initiative and responsibility; You work well together in teams and are a real team player; You have good organizational skills and can also work autonomously; You are flexible and eager to learn.
