You will oversee the design of civil structures (concrete, steel, timber) through all stages, from concept to detailed execution studies.
Your creativity will be key in devising structural solutions that are both innovative and economically viable.
Your responsibilities extend to ensuring that projects adhere to budget constraints, project scope, timelines, and quality standards.
You will uphold the quality system and health & safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.
Regular weekly updates on project progress to the Manager will be expected.
As a mentor to budding engineers, you will contribute to their professional development by actively engaging in their training programs.
You will champion an integrated design approach by considering the interplay between various disciplines.
Client needs are paramount; you will prioritize customer satisfaction and work diligently to meet their requirements.
You will also be involved in preparing proposals and contracts in collaboration with the sales team and confidently present these to clients.
Collaboration with external partners — including architects, consultancies, subcontractors, and contractors — is crucial for a constructive project environment.
Your commitment to sustainable and efficient design solutions will drive the projects towards excellence.
Staying abreast of industry standards, guidelines, and advancements is essential; you will share these insights with the team to foster collective growth.
Requirements Master Degree of Civil Engineering or equivalent.
A minimum of 10 years experience with structuralengineering projects related to bridges (all types), tunnels and other special structures.
Involved in all aspects and phases of your projects:
conceptual design, quick estimate of building costs, definition and negotiation of the fee, presentation to the client or authorities, etc.
Experience in conducting multidisciplinary projects in Construction with multiple stakeholders, time and budget constraints.
Good communication skills and team player.
Client-oriented, solution-oriented and flexible.
Fluent in French or Dutch with a very good knowledge of the second language (this is mandatory).
Professional level of English.
Prepared to work with teams in our different regional offices (Ghent, Brussels and Hasselt).
Willing to make occasional international trips for our international collaboration and international projects.
