Our team owns the Enterprise Data Catalog and supports Data Stewardship, Data Quality and Data Access.
As a datagovernanceintern, you can expect to work within a small team and collaborate closely with various groups across business and technology.
This collaborative environment will provide you with hands-on experience in datagovernance best practices, allow for opportunities to learn from different perspectives, and develop skills in data analysis and communication.How You’ll Make an Impact Data CatalogAssist in identifying and documenting data stewards for different data domains.Collaborate with data stewards and support data classification and metadata capture and curation efforts.Assist in the development of data catalog usage metricsData StewardshipParticipate in data stewardship meetings to discuss data issues, decisions, and actions.Assist with datagovernance training and enablement programsAssist in the implementation of datagovernance policies & procedures.Data QualityWork with data owners and stakeholders to understand data quality requirements and expectations.Develop data quality measures and explore data quality toolsConduct research on data quality best practices and industry standards.Experience You’ll BringCurrently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Information Management, Data Science, or a related field.Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and problem-solving. Ability to analyze complex datasets and identify patterns, trends, and anomalies.Excellent communication and collaboration skills.Capability to work collaboratively and interact with individuals at various levels of the organization.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to documentation and integrity.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Familiarity with datagovernance concepts and principles is a plus.Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Tableau is preferred.The base pay range represents the anticipated low and high end of the pay range for this position.
Actual pay rates will vary and will be based on various factors, such as your qualifications, skills, competencies, and proficiency for the role.
Base pay is one component of WEX's total compensation package.
Most sales positions are eligible for commission under the terms of an applicable plan.
Non-sales roles are typically eligible for a quarterly or annual bonus based on their role and applicable plan.
