As a Site Reliability Engineer*, you will be part of a highly motivated cross-site team of IT specialists * and engineers*, use your knowledge to shape the future-oriented transformation of DFS and contribute your expertise to the data center platform currently under construction or associated cloud services.
In addition, together with the local team at the Leipzig tower, you will independently carry out tasks in the commissioning of existing technical air traffic control systems so that the results of your work can be used immediately.

Engineer * Site Reliability Your tasks Responsible for solving technical problems on complex and networked systems Ensuring requirements regarding functionality, interoperability and availability of the lifecycle (for services in context) of the data center platform Independent implementation of complex changes including design/architecture changes Development of documentation Designing, setting up and operating the services and platforms used for application operation and advising users on application development Design of the continuous delivery processes and pipelines used for the development, setup and operation of the services What sets you apart You have a bachelor's, diploma or master's degree in computer science / a comparable field of study or a comparable qualification You already have professional experience in setting up and operating Apache Kafka middleware instances and also have a broad understanding of cloud technologies, middleware technologies, Linux operating systems, network technology, database and distributed systems and are confident working on a console You have professional experience in the IT environment and experience in the operation (of services in context) of a data center platform You have know-how in software development and at least one common programming language (e.g.
Python, Bash scripting) You have very good knowledge of setting up and developing IT infrastructures You are confident in using at least one of the common application or automation tools (e.g.
Terraform, Puppet, Ansible) You have experience in container, orchestration and cloud solutions (e.g.
