Context:

Within the IS Expertise Center (EC IS), the GEMS IS Helpdesk provides comprehensive support to approximately 2,000 users across France and Belgium, encompassing L1 to L4 support levels.

For its workstation experts’ team, we are looking for a seasoned IT Team Lead.

The ideal candidate possesses strong technical skills in workstation support, along with exceptional project management abilities.

Role:

Manage and lead a team of Workstation Experts to provide comprehensive support for all workstation-related issues and requirements within the GEMS IS Helpdesk team.

Collaborate closely with the Head of the GEMS IS Helpdesk Team.

Develop and implement the GEMS Digital Workstations strategy, in collaboration with GBS IT.

Ensuring alignment with business objectives and technological advancements.

Establish and maintain control over the full portfolio of GEMS end points, including computers, tablets, mobile devices, and deployment tools.

Oversee the monitoring and management of tools such as Intune, Nexthink, Crowdstrike, and Zscaler.

Lead vulnerability management efforts to identify and remediate security risks.

Manage projects related to helpdesk activities, workstation-related initiatives and transversal CORE IS activities.

Collaborate closely with GBS IT to ensure alignment on workstation operations with the broader IT organization.

Develop, measure, and report on department-level KPIs.

Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the team, encouraging innovation and process optimization.

Mentor and develop team members, providing guidance and support for their professional growth.

Hard skills:

Strong technical knowledge of workstation hardware, software, and networking technologies, including operating systems, desktop applications, and server infrastructure.

Familiarity with virtualization technologies, such as VMware and Citrix, and cloud computing platforms like Azure and AWS is a plus.

Knowledge of workstation-related monitoring and management tools, such as Intune, Nexthink, Crowdstrike, and Zscaler.

Proven ability to manage critical projects with limited direct supervision Exceptional communication skills with a passion for helping and empowering others Soft skills:

Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate technical information, project updates, and procedures to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with team members, stakeholders, and external clients.

Ability to listen actively, gather requirements, and understand the needs of different stakeholders.

Diplomacy and tact to navigate sensitive situations and maintain positive relationships.

Passion for providing exceptional customer service to users and stakeholders.

Ability to manage customer expectations and resolve issues promptly and efficiently.

Willingness to go the extra mile to ensure user satisfaction and overall IT service delivery.

Education and professional background:

The candidate should have a master's degree and relevant experience in the IT field Experience in a trading or similar fast-paced, demanding environment is a plus Languages:

Fluent in English Proficient in French Proficient in Dutch Travels:
