What you will be doingAs Health & SafetyManager(HSE) you are responsible for leading a team of prevention advisors and overseeing the implementation of workplace safety programs across all areas of the Hoboken site.
You continuously develop a caring safety culture in line with the Company Vision of Zero Harm.
Your contribution within the team:
You ensure that solid systems are in place to manage occupational safety.
You integrate safety processes, systems and procedures into operational routines, so that all activities are performed in a safe manner enabling a prevention and caring mindset amongst operational teams.You develop the team of prevention advisors as a center of excellence and reliable resource to support the operational areas (providing advice on safety procedures, coaching safety coordinators, addressing emerging safety issues, etc.
)You develop and implement effective trainings and communications that enable culture and competency development.You build solid relationships with operational managers, aimed at successful collaboration and mutual support, in order to develop safety competencies and effective management at all operational areas.You report to the H&S Director responsible for the PMR site in Hoboken.
Who we are looking forYou combine a relevant university degree (e.g.
Master in Occupational Safety & Health, Bachelor in Engineering) with a level 1 prevention advisor, NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification.
You have at least 10 years of experience in H&S management in an industrial environment and have a track record in developing and implementing H&S management systems.
You take initiative and have a personal drive for change and improvement.
With your enthusiasm and strong communication skills you succeed to motivate team members and other stakeholders.You possess good analytical skills and are problem-solving oriented.
You are a hands-on manager who lead by example.
You are fluent in Dutch and English.
