If this sounds like you, consider applying. PURPOSE OF THE ROLEReporting to the Chief Medical Officer, The Head of Program Management Organization (PMO) is responsible for establishing argenx as a project-based organization and will cover a wide scope of cross-functional and strategic early and late development projects as well as wider continuous improvement initiatives and transformational programs.The Head of PMO is a key-player in developing the competence of project management and cross-functional, cross-cultural and inter-company collaboration.

This includes
- among other responsibilities
- installing innovative processes and systems (planning, budgeting, resourcing, reporting, strategic scenario play,..

) and leading a state-of-the-art project management discipline while partnering with the development project leaders, functional department heads, CMOand other important stakeholders like senior management, Finance, Business Information Systems, CMC and Quality.ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIESTo allow Project Leaders and/or Functional Leaders to focus on taking on the pro-active lead of the project and cross-functional teams, the Head of Project Management Organization provides support by establishing and implementing processes, systems and best practices for project management and resource management.

Key responsibilities include:

Leadership and Development of the PMOAligning project management strategies with the company's strategic goals; Defining and developing the strategic direction of the group and driving operational excellence in line with argenx global development vision and strategyOverseeing and taking line management responsibility for a team of development project managers, resource managers, business process managers and portfolio managers; As coach and/or mentor, gatekeeping the personal growth and development of all PMs in the PMO; Best PracticesDefining and implementing project management best practices, as well as establishing innovative processes and systems (for planning, budgeting, resourcing, reporting, strategic scenario planning, benchmarking and baselining,..

); Developing and implementing the necessary systems, processes, and tools to better support the facilitation, collection, and sharing of knowledge that is generated by argenx projects, to stimulate lessons-learned, and to sustain high quality delivery projects.Playing a pivotal role in overseeing and optimizing the project management processes within the organization;Cross-functional CollaborationCollaborating cross-functionally to ensure that projects are operatingin accordance with stated processes and standards, identifying areas for improvement;Ensuring project management development and support for functional project managers who have line management outside of the PMO, including but not limited to the Bioanalytic PMs, Regulatory PMs, Safety PMs and Clinical Trial Managers; Being an active member of the Development Management Team (DMT) and the Development Management Committee (DMC); Providing resource assessments and insights in staffing needs in view of establishing high quality project teams; In close collaboration with finance, alleviating the budget burden from the functions and allowing project managers to team up with finance to perform budget forecast exercises and budget analysis.; SKILLS AND COMPETENCIESYou have strong project and portfolio management and resource management skills; You have an analytical mindset, show strong business acumen and have an excellent understanding of drug developmentprocesses; You have excellent communication and interpersonal skillsthat you can apply in amulti cultural setting; you are a connector, building relationships and partnering across the global organization to achieve the company goals; You have experience in managing and resolving complex issues through strategic decision-making;You combine strategic thinking with the ability to execute, both individually and by leading teams, to achieve operational excellence whilst facing challenging goalsYou show strong leadership with a proven ability to build, motivate and develop a global team; You excel in a fast-paced, results-driven, highly accountable environment;You are pragmatic, yet creative and innovative.
