Liaise with the other independent control functions, and with the General Counsel, Senior Manager,Regulatory in supporting that team's management of regulatory relationships.Prepare and implement an annual compliance plan taking into account the responsibilities outlined in the relevant Circulars of the NBB and FSMA, and other regulators in EuropeKeep and put in place a framework of compliance policies and procedures that addresses relevant compliance requirements and supports the ethical conduct of business and monitors the Company's adherence to themLead the completion of required compliance reporting to the NBB and FSMA and other regulators where applicableLead compliance reviews to assess whether the group policies have been implemented effectively, and provide assurance that compliance risk is identified, monitored, assessed and managed to an appropriate levelOversee compliance activity and manage compliance staff in Europe Region and its branch officesAct as one of the contact points for the purposes of the Company's Whistleblowing PolicyAct as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) Belgium and Europe Region and lead the Compliance team's activity with respect to sanctions, anti-money laundering and financial crime IssuesEmbed a compliance culture throughout the group, through Compliance Communications and updates, and through the delivery of a training plan to management and staffContribute to an open and transparent culture of risk management and demonstrate a strong awareness of the risks that should be managed within the responsibilities of the roleDeliver responsibilities in line with all relevant risk appetites, policies, reporting and when applicable, membership on or input to risk committees.The role-holder will be responsible for maintaining overseeing compliance risks and ensuring that management has appropriate processes in place to mitigate those risks and report accordingly.
The role holder is authorised to implement all necessary actions to ensure achievement of the objectives of an effective compliance programMember of the Exco (Extended Management Committee)Attend Audit & Risk Committee meetings of the BoardManage a team of 6 direct reports in Brussels and compliance liaison staff located in the Europe Region to ensure compliance standards are metThe candidate should demonstrate:
