Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities Lead strategic sourcing initiatives for the Chemicals and Packaging category, optimizing spend through value analysis/value engineering (VA/VE), contract negotiations, and market testing.
Collaborate closely with business units, application departments, and manufacturing sites to innovate solutions with suppliers, ensuring on-time delivery, quality, competitive pricing, and sustainability goals.
Deploy global sourcing strategies effectively, conducting RFIs/RFQs and final selections in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Participate in leadership teams of business units to align sourcing activities with organizational objectives.
Lead the Materials Manufacturing – Purchasing Supply Chain, ensuring early supplier involvement and project cost management.
Assure accurate and timely reporting of sourcing metrics, driving globalpurchasing alignment and compliance.
Direct research and analysis of sourcing opportunities and emerging technologies in international markets.
Profile PhD or Master's degree in Chemical or Scientific discipline.
Minimum 10 years of experience in chemicals production environment, with a preference for purchasing assignments.
Strong negotiation skills and understanding of technical requirements/application of chemicals and packaging.
Proficiency in conflict management, people development, and ERP systems (knowledge of SAP is an advantage).
Fluency in English; Dutch proficiency is advantageous.
