DESCRIPTION OF THE TASKS Following tasks will be performed by external service provider:
Develop parts of the user interface of “Arachne corporate” based on business & technical analysis (the developments will be done with eUI, which is a EC’s internal framework based on Angular) Ensure the eUI patterns and techniques are correctly implemented.
Perform unit testing of the developments.
Contribute to the technical analysis.
Contribute to the quality assurance process by developing and using automated tests and code quality tools.
Contribute to the implementation of the test plans of Arachne Corporate.
Provide level 2 & level 3 technical support.
LEVEL OF EDUCATION As stated in the Article 2.6.3.1.
of DIGIT-TM II Service requirements, a minimum educational qualification for lot 1 is:
Level of education corresponding to Level 6 of the European Qualification Framework which typically corresponds to a bachelor’s level or 3 years of higher education.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS Following skills and knowledge are required for the performance of the above listed tasks:
Excellent communication skills with technical and non-technical audience Analysis and problem solving skills Ability to write clear and structured technical documents Ability to participate in technical meetings Ability to apply high quality standards.
Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application architecture and design.
Ability to give technical presentations.
Knowledge of the following technical topics would be seen as an advantage:
Redux architecture with NgRx and state management PWA development using Ionic/Angular is a plus.
Continuous Integration and Deployment Modern DevSecOps Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
Due to the particular nature of a large international organisation such as the EuropeanCommission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team; Ability to participate in multilingual meetings; Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects; Excellent Team Player Ability to understand, speak and write French (B1/B2); High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained in DIGIT.A.4 contain personal and confidential data SPECIFIC EXPERTISE Following specific expertise is mandatory for the performance of tasks:
User-interface development Experience (at least 3 years) in the development of web applications’ user-interface Experience with Client-side Single Page Application development Experience with Angular 12 framework, or with a more recent version Experience with authentication systems based on SSO and CAS (Session cookie management through REST API, session time-out state recovery) Experience with CSS/SASS, HTML5, and SVG.
Excellent knowledge of JavaScript (knowledge of the specificities of ES6 and TypeScript) Knowledge of some of the following tools:
Knowledge of implementing or reusing solutions for advanced graphical presentation of results in user interface (like dynamic complex graph structures or responsive charts and reports) Good knowledge of development in the context of public or hybrid cloud, ideally using AWS Miscellaneous Experience (at least 3 years) in working with Agile/Sprint based IT project methodologies.
Knowledge of web application security (including Cross site scripting and Cross site request forgery) Knowledge of modular and microservices architecture patterns Knowledge of NodeJS Service delivery mode:
