JOB SCOPE AND MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
As a FinanceController Belgium in our finance department, you will play a crucial role in overseeing financial operations and providing strategic insights to support business decision-making.
Reporting directly to the Finance Director, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial data while driving process improvements and efficiency gains.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITIES AND RELATED ACTIVITIES:
Lead the financial planning and analysis process, including budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Monitor and analyze financial performance against key metrics and KPIs, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
Prepare and present financial reports, insights, and recommendations to senior management and key stakeholders.
Oversee the month-end and year-end close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
Collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to support business initiatives and strategic projects.
Manage and mentor a team of finance professionals, providing guidance and development opportunities.
Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Drive process improvements and automation initiatives to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field; MBA or CPA designation preferred.
years of experience in financial analysis, planning, and reporting, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting standards, and financial modeling techniques.
Proven track record of driving process improvements and implementing best practices.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Effective communication and presentation abilities, with the capability to interact confidently with senior management and stakeholders.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
