Spanning across Leuven, Ghent, Brussels, and Antwerp, our facilities house a dedicated team of over 100 staff members.Currently, we are actively seeking a motivated colleague to join our team.
This role will involve providing expertise and support in the area of microscopy-based research of VIB labs of the Center for Structural Biology and Brussels-based labs of the Center for Inflammation Research.
The successful candidate will be embedded in a team, located in Ghent and Leuven, but will be expected to provide support to research groups in an independent manner, on a daily basis, on our location in Etterbeek.ProfileMaster or Ph.D.
in Biomedical or Biological Sciences or equivalent through experience Mindset for supporting and enabling science of other research labs through offering of expertise Technology minded Experience in confocal microscopy applications is required Experience in image processing and analysis is required Team player with strong social, communication and didactic skills Well-organized, structured and able to autonomously plan and execute tasks Meticulous and self-motivated Accurate in compiling, documenting and reporting his/her work Eager to learn and adapt in a fast-evolving environment Good English skills, both oral and written The following can be an asset:
