About the role Responsible for leading Design for Manufacture activities across medium to large multi-site business units, the EuropeanDesignManager will be driving the development, deployment and consistent and effective use of Design Tools & Services, processes and workflows to support Design for Innovation targets.In this role, you will deliver above expectations on design lead times and quality, support the sales process with innovative design tuned to the detailed needs of the customer base, and the sectors served, e.g.
Point of Sale, E-Commerce, Industries.Your remit will include but not limited to:
Ensure a consistent way of working and best practices are being developed and deployed to deliver operational efficiency and daily customer delightCoordinate the internal design and sales teams to develop solutions and projects to deliver projects consistently to our customers across several geographiesSupport the deployment and implementation of strategic initiativesSupport Operation efficiency through ‘Design for Manufacture’Drive the Design efficiency KPI’sImplement a strategic packaging innovation and technical plan in partnership with CBU customers to developMay act as the structural corrugate design lead within the team, taking full responsibility for all design and development work, testing concepts, and setting requirements, specifications and tolerances.About you Previous experience as a Packaging engineer or similar roleExperience in the corrugated and cardboard packaging industry preferredExcellent Project Management skillsPassionate and enthusiastic, excited to inspire customers with new packaging opportunitiesStrong communicator and networkerPragmatic, well organised, results-driven, self-starterExperience of working in an international matrix organisation.Benefits:
