You understand the impact of the Technology dimension on the overall EnterpriseArchitecture state, and work closely with the other EnterpriseArchitects (disciplines Business, Data, Application).
You will also be in close collaboration with CISO (Chief Information Security Office) to improve the organizations security posture and the Technical Architects (Subject Matter Experts).
This position is open because the demanding workload is exceeding the bandwidth of the one Enterprise Technology Architect that is currently employed.Job ResponsibilitiesInfluence Technology strategy You take responsibility for defining the Technology strategy and multi-year roadmaps.
Together with the Technical Architects you will define the Standard Building Blocks that are being used and let these evolve.You will present and communicate these evolutions to both IT - as Business Stakeholders (up to C-level).For innovative technologies you can rely on the Innovation Team to have these PoCed (Proof of Concepts) and to have these selected and introduced as future products.
Improve Technology stateYou take responsibility for the organizations technology status and make improvement suggestions (From As is to To be), taking into account the balance between cost, risk, robustness and strategic alignment.You actively steer on avoidance or reduction of Technical Debt and short term tactical solutions.
Publish Guardrails and StandardsYou publish Guardrails that are used to steer the Solution - and Technical Architects in their solutions and patterns used.
You assist the Solution - and Technical Architects in defining Standards and their evolution (Lifecycle Management).
You define how these will be used in Technology Services via patterns.Develop Integration Architectures Define interoperability standards and protocols and provide guidance for API integration styles e.g.
Logic, Event & Data.
You keep the Integration Guardrail up-to-date.Together with the Enterprise Application and Data Architect you actively contribute to The provisioning of Data Assets that can be consumed in operational systems, in strategic reporting and for Advanced Analytics and Machine Learning (Cloud-based platform).Reduction of point-to-point integrations and duplication of data and assure proper data governance (master data management, data quality, ).
Manage Technology risk:
Support regulatory and compliance programs, including audit controls, related to thevsecurity posture state of the landscape (together with CISO , Enterprise Risk and DPO).Collaborate on data protection initiatives throughout the entire lifecycle of the technologies used.
Operational Responsibilities Member of Architecture Council and Board:
Validate the Architecture Lifecycle Document (ALD) describing the Architectural Solutions prepared by the Solution Architect within project/program scope from technology viewpoint.
Member of voting committee for Go/No Go decision from EnterpriseArchitecture on the Council.Member of Architecture Board as consulted contributor for Transversal and Foundation Solution subjects from technology viewpoint, Escalated project/program topics and own EnterpriseArchitecture artifacts you present (e.g.
Updated Principle, New Guardrail, Technology Roadmap update, New Pattern).Management of Architecture Repository ContentValidate consistency of the modeling viewpoints by Domain - and Solution Architects with theArchiMate Compliant Metamodel:
Provision ArchiMate elements (Standards & Patterns) that the Domain - & Solution Architects can use to model; Coaching and communicating on the ArchiMate Compliant Metamodel.Respond to Management questions with insightful answers based on the complete and qualitative content of the repository (supported by the Architecture Quality Assurance team)Technology Budget housekeeping; Together with Operations and Portfolio Management you safeguard the annual budgets foreseen for the Technology state so they are in line with the approved project/program architectures, the multi-year roadmaps and lifecycle - and maintenance budgets.Primary Work Arrangements and Reporting Line:

Technical Architects, Security Architects, Subject Matter Experts, 3rd party solution maintainers)You have an active role in different Governance bodies, both with IT - and Business stakeholders, on strategic/executive -, tactical - and operational level e.g.
Architecture Council and Board, Project SteerCo and Portfolio Management Office.
Job Requirements This role requires a bachelors or masters degree in computer science, data science, information systems or related study field (or equivalent work experience).A minimum of twelve years of experience in IT, with at least seven years in closely related domain (working as EnterpriseArchitect, Infrastructure Architect, Security Architect, ).Strategy and management consulting experience is highly recommended to act as partner for Senior Management and CxOs both from IT - as Business side.Demonstrated communication, presentation and facilitation skills, including the ability to explain digital concepts and technologies to business leaders, and business concepts to technologists.
You should be able to sell ideas at all management levels and deliver presentation materials and simple briefings that meet stakeholder needs.
You know how to create buy-in and get things done by others not directly under your supervision.
The Architecture Community is distributed, so different hierarchical reporting lines.Broad experience in multiple competency areas of technology delivery.
Examples are Machine Learning Services, Container Services, Disaster Recovery & Business Continuity, IAM, IOT, Database Services (Oracle, Microsoft SQL), API (e.g.
GraphQL, REST, AMQP, MQTT).Profound knowledge and experience with Microsoft Azure products Expert Certification Level is considered as an additional plus.
Any other Public cloud experience is desired, but not essential.Knowledge of compliance and EnterpriseArchitecture frameworks.
