The position is in the Systems Department, EOS Team (comprises of 2 persons).
The candidate will mainly report to the EOS Team Lead.

as of May 2024 Tasks and Responsibilities Contribute to the enhancement and maintenance of our existing Earthobservation systems Design and develop:
Distributed data processing platforms and services Algorithms for processing Earthobservation data Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate satellite data into actionable insights Stay abreast of emerging technologies and trends in the Earthobservation field Participate in the business development activities for the team.
Skills and Experience A Master’s Degree in Computer Science, SoftwareEngineering, or relevant A proven experience with or knowledge of:
Software development lifecycle, including the production of projects or products documentation Software programming, especially of Web applications and services (preferably with Python/Django, VueJS or equivalent) Linux systems and networks as user and administrator Cloud-related technologies (e.g.
Docker, Kubernetes, Helm) Considered as Assets Understanding of remote sensing principles and methodologies (e.g.
optical, radar, thermal) Image processing techniques for extracting meaningful information from raw satellite data Knowledge of:
EU and ESA data exploitation platforms GIS tools for mapping, spatial analysis, and integration of satellite data with other geospatial information Experience with AI-related technologies.
