WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR EU Institutions:
CloudIntegrationArchitect Join our client’s team in Brussels as a CloudIntegrationArchitect for the European Institutions.
DG Regio, part of the European Commission, focuses on reducing regional disparities across EU member states.
It manages funds like the ERDF and Cohesion Fund to support economic growth and social cohesion in less developed regions.
Through programs like Interreg, it fosters collaboration among neighboring regions.
Urban development initiatives aim to enhance sustainability and inclusivity in EU cities.
DG Regio evaluates and monitors regional policies to ensure their effectiveness and compliance.
Its efforts contribute to the overall prosperity and integration of the European Union.
YOUR TASKS Analysis of the integration of different information systems.
Data analysis and data modelling.
Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture.
Technical interface between the project leaders and the developers.
Production of software architecture documents.
Participation in technical working groups, progress meetings and meetings with the users.
Assistance during relevant parts of testing, analysis, technical documentation, deployment, evaluation and reporting.
Creating designs and blueprints of CloudArchitecture.
Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud.
Design and development of architecture components and building blocks using cloud components.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE The following specific expertise is requested for the performance of tasks:
Minimum 5 years of experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform) Minimum 5 years of experience with interoperability technologies (web services, message-oriented middleware, service-oriented bus, event architecture); Minimum 5 years of professional experience in Data Warehouse, Oracle RDMBS Database development, Data Modelling and SQL Minimum 5 years of experience with data standardization processes and quality control programs Minimum 3 years working experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g.
Apache Airflow, Luigi, or AWS Step Functions, dbT) The following skills are required:
Analysis of the integration of different information systems; Data analysis and data modelling; Coordination of the implementation of the technical architecture; Production of software architecture documents; Review of the architecture of existing systems to migrate of existing system in the cloud.
In depth knowledge of relational database systems applied to data warehouse, data warehouse architecture and SQL; Good knowledge of ETL/ELT tools; Good knowledge of Data quality concepts; Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments; Ability to deliver presentation to both business and technical audiences; Solution-oriented and accuracy to detail; Ability to cope with fast changing technologies used in application developments Due to the particular nature of a large international organization such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
Capability of integration in an international/multicultural environment, rapid self-starting capability and experience in working in team Ability to make presentations to stakeholders, excellent communicator Ability to participate in multilingual meetings Ability to work in multi-cultural environment, on multiple large projects Excellent Team Player Very good ability to understand, speak and write in very good English, knowledge of any other language will be an advantage High degree of discretion and integrity is required as the applications managed and maintained contain personal and confidential data Knowledge of European Commission IT environment it is considered an asset EXTRA INFORMATION Work location:
Brussels possibility to telework part of the weekly working time, upon agreement.
