Key Responsibilities:
Designing logical and physical database structures using Oracle's RDBMS, adhering to best practices and industry standards.
Developing and maintaining robust data models that align with business requirements and support scalability.
Optimizing database performance through query tuning, indexing strategies, and efficient caching mechanisms.
Analysing query execution plans, monitoring system resources, and identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, developers, and stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective database solutions.
Providing valuable insights and recommendations on database-related issues, contributing to informed decision-making processes.
Staying up to date with the latest advancements in Oracle technologies and proactively implementing best practices to enhance database performance and security.

Job requirements KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS The following knowledge is required for the performance of the above-listed tasks:
Proven experience as an Oracle DB Developer, with a focus on modelling and performance tuning.
Strong proficiency in Oracle's RDBMS, including SQL and PL/SQL programming languages.
Demonstrated expertise in database modelling, with a deep understanding of logical and physical design principles.
Experience in query tuning, index optimization, and database performance tuning techniques.
Expertise with Oracle tools such as Oracle Data Modeler and Oracle SQL Developer.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues.
Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the capacity to effectively interact with team members and stakeholders.
Capability to write clear and structured technical documents Knowledge on WebLogic would be an asset Due to the particular nature of a large international organization such as the European Commission, candidates should also have the following non-technical skills:
