This is the perfect opportunity for someone who wants to create a brand new ecosystem and push the boundaries of the glass manufacturing industry for one of the silica sands world leaders.The Director T&I Glass is co-accountable with the business leader for accelerating the profitable growth of the Glass segment, with a clear focus on leading a disruptive Glass growth priority program.
This program includes product, process development, pilot design and operation at Combustion Consulting Italy (CCI) at Cellino and Verona, intellectual property and handover to the Commercial and Operations organizations.
He/she also ensures the day-to-day operational activities and people management of the employees dedicated to the program.He/she will supervise 4 teams:
the first one in Dessel (Belgium) focusing on new glass product/formulation development, one in Maranello (Italy) focusing on new glass product/formulation and application development for EGS markets, one in Verona (Italy) focusing on engineering and one in Cellino (Italy) focusing on operation of a new submerged melter furnace (SBM) developed by CCI, a start-up company 60% owned by Sibelco.The Director T&I Growth holds no direct financial accountability, He/she contributes to the development of opportunities to grow the company´s business with new products, applications and/or services by providing technical expertise and resources.
Is responsible and accountable for leading/managing the T&I required activities and workload, identified through priority programs, initiated from EXCO, based on the growth strategy of the company.Your background:
Engineering and/or MSc with a PhD preferredMore than 15 years of experience with different business environments.
