Knowledge of SharePoint Online.
Create links between nVent products and client SCADA / PLC systems.
This role is based in in Belgium – Leuven, with option to work part-time from home office.
There can also be a requirement to support other nVent offices in Europe for meetings or do remote / on premises trouble shooting and configurations at client premisses.
This position can require overnight stay on occasional basis.You will work with the International Site Services Manager EMEA-I.WHAT YOU WILL EXPERIENCE IN THIS POSITION:
Be a key contributor in following domains:
Operational Technology (OT) networksDevelop Systems architectures for nVentcontrol and monitoring products, systems and control panels in an industrial setting;Performing activities on basis of project drawings, specifications, planning, procedures, quality requirements and safety standards;Create communication links between nVent products and client DCS systems, using new or existing Ethernet systems by using FO products, protocol convertors;Create and update (pre-)commissioning manuals for nVentControl & Monitoring products and systems, including Cyber Security requirements;Support Sales and Proposals teams to enable them to generate price quotes based on client specifications for Ethernet systems, including protocol convertors (Profibus, Modbus, ..
), Fiber Optic components;Able to configure Managed Ethernet switches via CLI commands;Monitor and report project progress on regular basis ; actual progress against initial agreed schedule instigating corrective measures where necessary to ensure deadlines are met;Carrying out projects independently over time;Play a key role in the “Life Cycle Services” teamsFurther develop initiatives, maintain and improve tools and process;Support building a roadmap for IIoT solutions;Support data structures and data analyticsSupport Digitalization of Quality and EHS forms, with data storage on SharePoint and AWS;Support and organize Control & Monitoring product trainings via Augmented Reality (AR) platform and tools;Report software, documentation and product bugs and potential improvements in Jira;Keep specific SharePoint sites up-to-date, implement new technologies such as PowerApps, Power BI when required;YOU HAVE:
Proven experience as a systemengineer in the industrial sector, with basic knowledge of industrial controlsystems (ICS), Supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs);Have a VCA VOL certification is an advantage;Bachelor / Engineering degree with strong interested in Computer Technology and Science;Languages:
Fluent in English writing and spoken, any other language is an extra.
Good knowledge of Dutch is a plus;Experience:
3 to 5 years of practical experience in OT / IT Ethernet networks; protocol convertors, Fiber Optic products;Good interpersonal skills and a great teammate;Be a self-starter/self-motivated, detail oriented and a good communicator.
Has a problem solving attitude.Act as an “Ambassador” for nVent when interacting with Clients;Affinity in the use of Microsoft Office components like Excel, Word, Outlook;Knowledge of Jira , MS Visio, Modbus protocols, Profibus protocol is a benefit.OTHER INFORMATION:
