The Cluster IT Manager is part of a Local IT team and it is responsible for the operation of all IT and Communication systems in our Leased and Managed hotels in Belgium and Lille/France.
The IT function is considered a support function to the primary operation of the company.
It is therefore important that the Cluster IT Manager view his/her position in that light and acts as a service function within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Execution of established Hotel IT Activities to ensure smooth operation of our hotels.
Understands the overall objectives and architectural aspects of all IT systems to ensuring that all IT functions and disciplines are controlled, audited ensuring system efficiencies are attained Systems administration and operation, including ensuring compliance with Corporate IT policies, ensuring daily operation, periodic preventive maintenance Builds and maintains effective working relationships with all key stakeholders Implements IT strategies where objectives are communicated at all levels, the performance of system software and hardware is audited and reported upon to enables strategic business decisions to be made Overview and Management of User IT Support ; working with External Partners to ensure quality of all levels of service.
User accounts maintenance Project management Training, including new hires, retraining of existing employees and maintenance of IT security awareness training Hardware / Software inventory ; adequate documentation maintenance.
Planning, budgeting, and management consulting under the supervision of the Area IT Director.
Overall compliance, including for data-processing and PCI-DSS standards Change Management Required Skills and Experience:
Minimum 3 years experience from similar positions, such as IT management and people management Ability to develop working relationships very quickly and gain confidence of business colleagues Personal integrity, with the ability to work in an environment that demands excellence, time and energy Excellent communication skills, both orally and written in both French and English.
Excellent forward planning and organization skills Experience of influencing and coaching people Commitment to exceptional guest service with a passion for the hospitality industry Experience of setting and achieving targets and producing work of high quality to agreed deadlines and budgets Able to hold a presentation to a smaller audience, such as the management group, employee groups etc.
Hospitality, travel or service related industries is a plus Ability to travel throughout our hotels is a must Work permit to work in Belgium is essential Knowledge of:
